4th of July Parade and Picnic

The Parade
Decorate your bike, your pet, your car and yourself for the Parade on the 4th of July!  We gather together at Indian Ridge Elementary School in the morning on the 4th of July. Parade participants are asked to be lined up in the school parking lot by 9:45 AM and the Parade will start promptly at 10:00 AM.  The South Metro Fire Department usually takes the lead as we Parade to the Club House.  Spectators are welcome to line the parade route and cheer!

The Picnic
The Picnic is held at the Piney Creek Park by the Pond immediately following the Parade. The School of Rock will be performing for our listening and dancing pleasure. Feel free to bring your yard games and set them for your entertainment.  Corn Hole and Volleyball will be available. Plan to bring a picnic lunch.  Don't forget your blanket or chairs to sit on! Although the picnic ends around 1:00 PM, you can continue to enjoy the Piney Creek Pool, Park, Playground, and Tennis and Pickle Ball Courts.

Volunteers
Piney Creek Community League welcomes volunteers from the community to ensure the success of this Community Event.  Each year we need 14 Parade Marshalls along the Parade Route, as well as several other volunteers for various jobs at the Picnic.  Do you have a talent/skill such as face painting or clowning that would be appropriate and fun to add to our celebration?  Let us know!! Please consider offering your assistance to make the day a GREAT success.   Please email Kelly to notify her of your interest in volunteering.
