Water Wise Committee
Calling Piney Creek Homeowners!

We need your help with our Water Wise committee!

In 2026 we were all subjected to water restrictions and the Board believes we will be subject to further restrictions in the coming years.

To plan for these water restrictions the Board started an ad-hoc “Water Wise Committee” and we need your help!

The Water-Wise committee of Piney Creek HOA is a volunteer group that will be instrumental in the long-term common area watering needs.

We are asking for volunteers to give us 3-4 hours of your time to help us with Phase One: The common area inventory. This will be an inventory of any common area spaces that could be considered for potential landscaping changes.

Our initial meeting will be November 20, 2026 at 6:00 pm at the club house. We will answer additional questions, plan the inventory and complete volunteer sign up.

Phase One:
Committee Role: Fact-Finding & Analysis
  • Map and inventory common-area turf to help the Board evaluate potential water-wise landscaping opportunities.
  • Provide a neutral, data-driven assessment of resource use and property constraints.
  • The committee will not recommend landscape designs, plant selections, project priorities, or aesthetic concepts in phase one.
  • All project decisions, prioritization, and landscape planning remain the responsibility of the HOA Board and any professionals it engages.
Outcome: Equip the Board with objective information to determine if and where turf conversion may be beneficial.

Thank you,
Greg Cann – President,
Piney Creek Board of Directors
