PCCL 18th Annual 4th of July Parade and Picnic
Wednesday, July 4th, 2018, 9:30am to 12pm
Join your friends & neighbors in a “small town” celebration of the birth of our country! Participate in the Parade & enjoy lunch at the Park on the 4th of July.
The Parade
Decorate your bike, your pet, your car & yourself for the Parade on the 4th of July each year. We gather together at Indian Ridge Elementary School in the morning on the 4th of July (participants are asked to meet by 9:30 am in the parking lot). Cunningham Fire Department and the Arapahoe County Sheriff Department usually take the lead as we Parade to the Club House. Spectators are welcome to line the parade route & cheer!
The Picnic
The Picnic is held at Piney Creek Park immediately following the Parade. A variety of fun-filled activities have been offered in the past, including face-painting & Bounce Houses. Hot dogs, chips, soft drinks & water are available at a family-friendly price. Although the picnic ends around 1:00 pm, you can continue to enjoy the Piney Creek Pool, Park & Tennis Courts.
Please note: To ensure the safety of our children and our volunteers, the parking lot adjacent to the Club House is closed to traffic from 6:30 am – 1:00 pm. Parking is available at the Piney Creek lot east of Joplin.
Volunteers
Piney Creek Community League welcomes Volunteers from the community to ensure the success of this Community event. Each year we need 12 Parade Marshalls & Volunteers for various jobs at the Picnic. Volunteer Opportunities will be advertised in the Chronicle and online. Be part of a Piney Creek Tradition - Volunteer!

Food Truck Nights 2018
Monday, July 16th, 2018, 5:30pm to 8:08pm at West Park
The Food Trucks are back for 2018. Throughout this spring/summer, there will be several Monday evenings during which food trucks will be on hand in the western park parking lot. The food trucks that show up will vary each time.
Homeowners are encouraged to come down and purchase dinner and/or dessert from these trucks. We suggest making a fun evening of it. Bring the entire family down, enjoy dinner in the park, under the gazebos, etc., let your children play on the playgrounds, and engage your fellow Piney Creek neighbors in lively conversation. It is truly our hope that this partnership will create support for these local food truck businesses, as well as an open environment perfect for community building and neighbor interaction!
All of our food truck nights for this year are scheduled on Monday evenings. The food trucks will be serving food from 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm. The following is a list of the dates for this year’s food truck nights:

Inclement weather: The HOA representative and Hand to Mouth will discuss inclement weather and will attempt to cancel the event by 2:00pm, the day of the event. Events will not be canceled due to forecasts. If it is raining upon arrival or begins to rain after the food trucks have arrived, they will wait 30-45 minutes and see if it passes. If it doesn't pass then the trucks can choose to leave.
We hope everyone takes advantage of this fun new partnership and we look forward to seeing you at the new Food Truck Nights!
Monthly Board Meeting (Maint & Rec)
Tuesday, July 17th, 2018, 6pm at Piney Creek Clubhouse
Board of Director meetings are held the third Tuesday of each month starting at 6:00 p.m. in the Piney Creek clubhouse (5800 S. Joplin Way). No meeting is held in December.
Meetings are open to all members; however, those persons wishing to appear on the agenda should contact the management company (303.369.1800) at least one week prior to the meeting date
