Update on the Homeless Camp
Update 8/9
The occupants of the homeless camp are gone, and we will be working on cleanup of the site
Update 8/5
A letter to vacate was served today. After a minimum of 7 days the onsite manager will meet with the Sheriff's Office to assess if the occupants are still there.  If they are, the Sheriff's Office will consider arresting them as a remedy to remove them from the property.
Once it is confirmed they are gone, the area will be cleaned up.
Progress to remove the homeless camp at Crestline and Chambers was made today.
****Piney Creek Community Eblast - Update on Homeless****
Dear Piney Creek Maintenance Community Member,
It has come to the Piney Creek Board’s attention there has been concern that the Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office has not been helpful in the process of resolving the homeless camp within our community.  We want to assure you that the Sheriff’s department has been instrumental in getting us through this process, although we are not completely through it yet.
As of today, “NO TRESPASSING” signs have been posted in the area; the occupants were cited for Trespass today, and a “Letter to Vacate” will be served on the occupants shortly.
Please note that it took time to understand the process to legally remove the occupants and any perceived delay was due to fact finding and working with multiple agencies to ensure we were staying within legal boundaries.
We appreciate the support and patience the Piney Creek members have shown.
