Piney Creek - Tennis Information

Piney Creek is a very active tennis community. There are eight (8) tennis courts, six (6) of them with lighting. The Piney Creek Recreational Association hires a tennis management company to manage the tennis facilities and tennis programs. The current tennis management company is Rocky Mountain Tennis Academy. They can be reached at 303-791-6720. Rocky Mountain Tennis Academy also provides fee based tennis lessons for all age groups. Tennis programs provided by Rocky Mountain Tennis Academy are listed on their website at www.rockymountaintennis.com . Tennis players must purchase a key to access the tennis courts. The cost of a key is $2.00 and they may be obtained from the Community Manager, 303-699-8069, or from the pool lifeguards when the pool is open.

Tennis Regulations

1. Courts will be open from dawn to dusk, except for maintenance duties.

2. Lighted courts will be open until 10:00 p.m., seven days a week.

3. All children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult resident.

4. All guests must be accompanied by an adult resident.

5. The staff is not responsible for any loss or theft of personal belongings.

6. Members of the Piney Creek Recreational Association may purchase a key from the Community Manager to access the courts . There is a refundable $2.00 fee for the key.

7. Reservation sheets are posted on the tennis bulletin board near the courts. All questions concerning court reservations should be made to Rocky Mountain Tennis Academy at 303-791-6720.

8. Single matches may reserve one (1) court for 1½ hours total. Double matches may reserve one (1) court for 2 hours total.

9. Non reserved court time (in season) and out of season play is on a first come first play basis.

10. Anyone 15 minutes late for their reservation time will lose that hour of court time to anyone who may be waiting to play.

11. Suggestions or complaints should be directed to the Tennis Management Company (currently, Rocky Mountain Tennis Academy at 303-791-6720).

Tennis Rules

1. Tennis shoes only are permitted on playing surface.

2. No food or drink permitted in court areas.

3. Do not adjust the nets or screens.

4. Courts may be used for tennis only. Bicycles, tricycles, skateboards, rollerblades, etc., are strictly prohibited.

5. No chairs in court area.

6. No glass in court area.

7. No smoking in court area.

8. Scheduled tennis programs have priority over open play.

9. Foul or abusive language is prohibited at all times.

10. Court number four (4) is reserved for the Rocky Mountain Tennis Academy tennis pro during operational hours (dawn - 10:00 p.m.).

11. Additional rules and regulations may be implemented without notice at the discretion of the Piney Creek Recreational Association.
