Speeding concerns result in property damage

We want to make you aware that the association and individual residents have been impacted several times recently due to vehicle accidents in the neighborhood. These accidents seem to primarily be caused by persons driving at excessive speeds and losing control of vehicles. Many homeowners have had fences, landscaping and other very costly property damage as a result. Please be aware of this issue and do not hesitate to report speeding vehicles to the Arapahoe Sheriff for follow up. And, please for everyone’s sake, watch your speed and advise the drivers in your household to watch their speed as well to keep our neighborhood safer.

Reports of vandalism concerns:

Please note that on 12/17/09, management received a report that earlier this month while attending a basketball game at Laredo Middle School, a resident’s car windows were shot 4 times by an air pistol, which cracked the windshield and the passenger side window. The school security did take pictures and wrote a report. And again on the night of 12/16/2009 someone threw eggs at his neighbor’s brand new vehicle in the Estates. Please watch out for activity in the neighborhood that may be suspicious and contact the Arapahoe Sheriff to investigate. Their non-emergency number is 303.795.4711. The frequency of calls for service oftentimes dictates the number of patrols we receive. Sometimes, folks say they are hesitant to call the Sheriff because “they have better things to do”. Well, that is sometimes true, however – PLEASE make the call and they will advise you if they cannot respond, but do not assume it!
