About the Reserve Account
A portion of the homeowner dues paid to the Piney Creek Maintenance and Recreational Associations is set aside each month in a reserve account for each association. These accounts are separate from the operating accounts that pay for the day-to-day operations of the associations such as management fees, legal expenses, utilities, landscape maintenance, and lifeguards for the pool. The reserve accounts fund the replacement, refurbishment, or renovation of assets such as the perimeter fencing and signage, major irrigation system components, landscape beds, swimming pool equipment, tennis courts, playground, and numerous other assets. These assets have a limited life expectancy and require large but infrequent expenses for replacement.
In 2009 the reserve accounts were used to fund numerous projects to replace fencing, renovate landscape beds, replace trees and perennials, and refurbish signage.
